Sydelle Zove,
Vice-President,
was appointed to the William Jeanes Memorial Library Board of Directors in the
spring of 2006, with a term that expires in December 2008.
Sydelle was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved into Whitemarsh Township in 1996. Most recently she served as a public policy analyst and advocate for a nonprofit agency addressing the needs of low-income women and children. She holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in social work from Temple University. She also has pursued graduate studies in English and publishing
In addition to her paid positions, Sydelle has served as a volunteer member of several boards and committees including the loan review committees of the Reinvestment Fund (TRF) and the Southwest Germantown Community Credit Union, Penn-Knox Neighbors Association (chairperson), Community Relations Committee—Germantown Friends School, and Miquon Area Preservation Society (MAPS).
Sydelle is married to Stephen Kaufman, and. together they have raised two children—Jonathan, now in college, and Sarah, who is working toward a master’s degree in fine arts. The empty nesters also provide nurturing to a rescued mutt dog and his feline sidekick.
