How do I get to the library?
From Germantown Pike West (from Philadelphia):
Follow Germantown Pike through Lafayette Hill. At the light at Germantown Pike and Joshua Road, turn right onto Joshua Road. Follow 0.32 miles to the Library on the left.
Follow Germantown Pike past the Plymouth Meeting Mall proceeding through the light at Chemical Road and the light at Butler Pike past the Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. At the light at Germantown Pike and Joshua Road, turn left onto Joshua Road. Follow 0.32 miles to the Library on the left.

How long do items circulate?
Most books (child and adult): 4 weeks
New adult books: 2 weeks
Audiotapes and CDs: 2 weeks

How many items can I take out?
Fiction, Videos, DVDs, Books-on-Tape or CD - No limit
Nonfiction books - Limit of 3 per family on the same subject
Cubbyhole collection - Limit 2 per family
How much do you charge for movies?
All items circulate for free at William Jeanes Library.
How much are overdue fines?
Adult books: $.15 per day
Children's books: $.10 per day
Audiotapes and CDs: $.15 per day
Videos: $1.00 per day
Cubbyhole Collection: $.50 per day
What do I do if I lost an item from the library?
Contact the library in person or by phone.
Lost library cards cost $3.00 to replace.
Items from the library are each assigned a replacement cost; check with a librarian to find out the cost.
How can I access the library catalog?
You can access the MCLINC catalog (library catalog) from any Internet connection.
Go to www.mclinc.org/OnlineCatalog.htm to view a User's Guide for the catalog.
Go to www.mclinc.org and then on "Search the MCLINC Catalog" to use the catalog.
How can I access my library account online?
Once you have a library card with your own barcode, the librarian at the desk can issue a password to you.
You may also create your own password online at the PatronAccess weblink below. This password
allows you to access your patron account. You will be able to see what items you have checked out and their due dates. You
can also renew items and view your list of reserved items.

Can I renew items?
Items can be renewed one time if there is no waiting list for them.
They can be renewed at the library, by phone, or online in the patron's library account.
Can I reserve a book?
You can reserve items at the library, by phone, or through the MCLINC online
catalog with your library card and a password.
Are computers available for patron use?
We have 3 Internet-only machines. First-time users must sign a form and pick up rules and guidelines at the front
desk before using the Internet. Users under 18 years of age must also have a parent's signature on the form. The computers
are free to use, but printing costs $.15 per page.
A word processor is available, but disks cannot be used.
Some educational games are available for in-house use only.
Do you have a photocopier?
We have a black and white photocopier. It is $.15 per page to copy.
How can I volunteer at the library?
The William Jeanes Library welcomes volunteers. If you would like to volunteer,
stop by the library and get an application at the front desk, or call us at (610) 828-0441 or
follow this link to the Volunteers section of our site for more information.
Who are the Friends of the Library?
The Friends is an organization which supports and promotes library programs and services. They have funded the purchase
of many new books, adult and children's programs, major building improvements, and much more.
